We’ve welcomed a Yellow-rumped Warbler to our back yard for the winter.

Back to Nathan Krestul Park this afternoon. Still trying to photograph the Palm Warblers:
I saw my first Yellow-rumped Warbler of the season, high up in an oak tree. Northern Cardinals were calling incessantly. I picked out a Red-bellied Woodpecker by flight. And here’s a first-year male Red-winged Blackbird:
Finally, I saw the first Eastern Phoebe of the season. It was sitting on top a lacrosse net in my neighbor’s back yard. The net made as good a perch as any to look for flying insects.
