My better half and I walked the dog at the dawn hour in the Bear Creek Greenbelt.  We saw three beavers near the footbridge.  One was working on the dam, one was swimming with a tree branch back to the lodge, and one was sitting on a log.

On an early lunch walk in the greenbelt by myself I saw a pair of Blue-winged Teals by the footbridge:

A couple of Cinnamon Teals were nearby.  Here’s one:

The manky Mallard was quacking very loudly, as is her wont.

At the pond that never freezes a lone female Hooded Merganser and I quietly watched each other for several minutes.

I spotted my first Lincoln’s Sparrow ever:

Snow began to fall in the late afternoon.  An American Goldfinch showed up as a bright spot of color:
