If you’re wondering how I got the hummingbird shots . . . I balanced on a half-rotted stump for 25 minutes, staying as still as possible, while holding an eight-pound camera and lens rig, repeatedly checking that the camera was focused on the nest, as well as compensating for the fading light.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
